THREE DIFFERENT TOURS

• In my car, you travel with me in my car and it is a very personal expert tour.

• Self drive, a maximum of six vehicles follow me in their own cars with radio contact.

• Itinerary, I plan your tour, make bookings and provide written info along the way, self drive.

I started my own touring company in 2002 and specialised in taking people to the Richtersveld. Soon I offered  tours to many desert areas in Namibia and Botswana. I would pack my trusty Landcruiser with everything required to cater for up to 20 people for a week, and head out to the most desolate areas. We would be completely self-sufficient.

​

I have been to the Richtersveld more than 200 times, I know some of the rock personally.

​

I have qualified as a tourist guide but soon extended my qualification through FGASA to be an expert field guide in the Richtersveld and Northern Cape. I also got the unique qualification as being a Marine guide on the rocky and sandy shores of the Atlantic coast line.

​

Other fields of my expertise include Kaokoland, Damaraland and the vast ends of the Kalahari desert. I am a registered tour operator in Namibia and get a legal work permit when I work there.

​

I present two types of tours, self drive, where you follow me in your own vehicle. Or as a passenger in my vehicle. There is another self drive option where I just do all the planning and I could present you with an information document.

I worked in conjunction with Freeman Patterson, a well renowned photographer, doing photographic tours in the same areas.

​

I believe in excellence and I have a passion for well equipped-touring. This led me to see the need in the 4x4 community for an expert 4x4 kit consultant tour guide and adviser for getting your rig kitted out. Using my vast experience of the challenges that extreme 4x4 and over landing situations put to vehicles, I will present you with an equipment plan for your vehicle fit for your budget. I will also take your vehicle from the shop floor right through the process to become bush ready.
